Royal Brackla - Highland Single Malt 16 year old 700ml
$151.41 price per bottle

Gold Medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirits competition 2019 Four years on from the entry level 12 year old whisky in the new Royal Brackla single malt whisky range (which also includes a 21 year old) and what a difference 4 years can make. The Royal Brackla 16 year old, like all the bottlings in the range is presented in rather regal looking navy blue packaging and bottled at 40% ABV and it carries a clear age statement which is becoming a rarity for many new releases these days. Nose: A lovely rich enticing nose, vanilla, creamy caramel, marmalade. Palate: Rich, sweet juicy raisiny sweetness, orange, vanilla caramel, peaches and apricot, oak spices. Finish: Longish, the juicy raisins, apricot and orange slowly fade leaving mildly drying oak spice. A lovely well balanced dram, loads going on here, full of flavour. Considering age, quality and price this is my choice out of the new Royal Brackla range.
