Built in 1974 as a model distillery, Auchroisk show-cases a still-house containing eight lantern-headed pot stills that are arranged in two neat rows. Auchroisk single malt was originally sold under the Singleton brand. However since the takeover by Diageo, the Singleton brand is now used for Glen Ord, Glendullan and Dufftown malts and Auchrosik is released under its own name.
Interestingly, Auchroisk was one of the first distilleries to finish their whisky in a sherry cask. The majority of the whisky distilled here is used in Guinness UDV’s J&B Blend.
