Royal Lochnagar
The smallest of the distilleries to be owned by drinks giant Diageo and established in 1845 in the east highland area of Balmoral and bestowed royal status after a visit from Queen Victoria in 1848. Meaning “little loch of the noisy summit” and a house style being quite sweet with sherry, fruit, nuts, spice and a whiff of smoke.A huge part of the Johnnie Walker blends along with core releases at 12 years old and a distillers edition finished in Muscat wine casks.
