Inspired by the boundless travels of Ernest Hemingway, Papa’s Pilar Dark boasts a bold mouth, long finish and a complex flavor profile, hell-bent on returning rum to its gutsy roots. This artisan-crafted spirit is sourced from hand-selected rum spanning the Caribbean, U. S. and Central America, aged up to 24 years, and solera blended by our master blending team in Bourbon barrels, Port Wine casks, finishing in Spanish Sherry casks. Papa’s Pilar Dark is bold and well-traveled; just like Papa. Producer Rum was once a noble spirit. It was served aboard warships, rationed to visionary explorers, and used to sustain the Founding Fathers as they plotted revolution. Rum was consumed by men who understood that you only get one shot at life. Standing still, they’d say, was a waste of valuable time.
