Deep and dark in the glass, this bottling from two appellations in Paso Robles shows earthy aromas of dried cherries, charred wood, dusty herbs and light licorice. There is heft to the thick palate, where a lush texture carries flavors of black plum, dark berry and peppery spice, with the acidity becoming quite apparent on the finish.
Aromas of cigar box, black cherry, Toffifay, and raspberry truffles lead to flavors of blackberry, bakerÂ's cocoa, ripe plum, and dusty tannins.
