The eighth release in the popular Longrow Red series, featuring heavilly peated malt from Springbank distillery, partially matured in differing Wine casks. This current release is a 13 Year old Single Malt that has been matured for 10 years in Bourbon and Sherry oak before a 3 year finishing period in Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon casks. The Cabernet Sauvignon casks used in this expression have been sourced from Mont Gras’ Intriga Estate in Alto Maipo, located at the foot of the Andes in Chile. Bottled at a cask strength of 51. 6% ABV and one of 9000 bottles. Official Tasting Notes. Nose - Rhubarb and custard, stewed red fruits, blackberries and ginger.
