A beautifully sherried Glenrothes bottled by Mackillop's Choice. Matured for an impressive 33 years in a single Sherry Cask before being bottled at 40. 9% ABV. A real treat for fans of the sherried Speyside style, this has lots of the classic fruit cake, spice and sweetness flavours. While not a sherry monster by any means, this is a nicely balanced malt and the lower ABV makes this very approachable. Official Tasting Notes Colour: Pale amber. Nose: Nicely balanced Sherry influence. Plenty of sweetness and raisins in a fruit-cake, with hints of liquorice too. Palate: Sweet Sherry, fruit-cake, candied orange peel and liquorice. Finish: A very long finish that starts sweet and ends spicy.
