The Jura 18 Year Old single malt has been matured in American white oak barrels, and is enriched by time spent in French oak wine casks from a Premier Grand Cru Classe Bordeaux producer. This sweet, juicy, fruity expression of Jura is one of the best value 18 year old whiskies around! Rich dark fruits are complimented by sweet vanilla, oaky spice, and just the merest hint of a distant bonfire. Tasting Notes: Nose: Aromatic cigar smoke, cherry pie filling, stewed plums, old tea chest wood, cinder toffee, hot ribena, smokey bluberry, liquorice and nutmeg. Palate: A firm and dry delivery, earthy black grape, cherry jam, dark chocolate, peppery smoke, nut brittle, raisin bread and lingering aromatic spices. Finish: Black fruit and cigar box notes drying into waxy and grape skins with lasting aromatic wood spice.
