Gran Centenario Anejo is distilled from carefully selected blue agave and aged in new American oak, to achieve a 100% agave tequila of unparalleled smoothness and quality. Established in 1857 by Lazaro Gallardo, Gran Centenario Tequila remains a family-owned business and is still crafted in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico at Ex Hacienda Los Camichines. The First Maestro Tequilero Lazaro Gallardo is claimed to be the first tequila master distiller (maestro tequilero) in history, as he created the Seleccion Suave process. By this process, he would only pick the richest, smoothest tequila and blend them together, creating a product with superior quality. This process is still in place while producing our tequila.
