In the film business, the Directors Cut emerged as a means for filmmakers to present their own creative vision of a story. At Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Directors Cut wines were created as a way for our winemakers to craft wines that would reflect their own unique interpretation of the quintessential Sonoma wine. With its unique wraparound label designed after a Zoetrope strip, one of the earliest moving picture devices, each Directors Cut label is a replica of a strip from Franciss personal Zoetrope collection.
