Tierra Sagrada Anejo is a rich and refined expression of Mexican craftsmanship. The spirit is made in Mexico and is meticulously produced in Amatitan, Jalisco. Jalisco is renowned as the birthplace of tequila and for its optimal conditions for growing the finest agave. The name 'Tierra Sagrada' translates to 'Sacred Land' and suggests a deep reverence for the earth on which the agave plants are cultivated. The distillery uses traditional practices, such as slow roasting the agave hearts in traditional brick ovens, combined with modern techniques to craft their exceptional tequilas. The tequila is made from 100% pure blue agave, selected and harvested by expert hands. Tequila Description Color : Intense golden tones or deep amber with golden highlights. Aroma : Intense woody aroma, sweet woody smell, with notes of toasted agave, caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak with hints of spice. Palate : Sweet, silky and full bodied, with flavours of honey, dark chocolate, dried fruit, and warm spice. It also presents hints of toasted or cooked agave. Finish : Long, smooth, and lingering with oak and sweet agave. Aging : Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, though some sources indicate aging for 2 years or a minimum of 12 months in oak barrels. Stylistic Notes : The extended aging process imparts deep character, complexity, and elegance to the tequila. It is smooth and sweet. This is a full bodied, complex, and elegant spirit that is best enjoyed neat to fully appreciate its depth.
