Taylor, Fladgate First Estate is a superb, non-dated port for everyday drinking, superior to standard ruby port but a bit less special than Late Bottled Vintage. Ready to consume when purchased, it does not improve with bottle age, and requires no decanting unless the bottle has been kept for some time. Its rich, jammy, black-fruit flavors, mellow oak notes and full body make it an excellent partner for rich, highly flavored cheeses as well as intense desserts such as chocolate which easily overwhelm lighter wines.
