This is a seamless, Old World and classic white, integrated in salty oak with a beautiful opening nose of lemon rind. Lifted, persistent acidity gives it focus and freshness, as a taste of briny oyster shell, lemongrass and Asian spice mingle around well-integrated thoughtful oak. This is a beautiful wine.
This is a great expression of Hyde Vineyard: dynamic, energetic and profoundly elegant, with fantastic aromas of yellow apple, honey, clove, carnation, smoke and citrus oil. Mouthwatering acidity makes flavors of orange liqueur, ginger, toffee and toasted hazelnuts dance across the palate, with a streak of Hyde's signature minerality adding focus and length to a complex and satisfying finish. This is a beautiful example of what can be achieved from grand cru-caliber site in an exceptional vintage.
